How wide does the door hinge open? A full 180 degrees? Thanks.

Hinges had to be slightly moved when fixed but door fully opens with no problem, very pleased with item. Would highly recommend.

Question

I am about to buy this machine as my washer has died a death. Is there a dry only program or does dryer only work alongside wash program.

Gillian
MARCH 2017
Answer

Have not tried but it should have only washed - --the Before using dryer need to mop up excess water left in middle of rubber seal Before putting dryer found this out with first wash complained but representative who came said it was normal ? Had previous AEG for 12 years & all was well - 1st wash cloths were wetter after putting dryer on but with the knowledge of the water I just mop out every wash before drying good luck

Question

Does the door fit directly onto the machine? I'm planning to buy an Ikea kitchen but am concerned the fittings might not match. Any advice would be fab.

Ailsa
JULY 2016
Answer

YES it does and the magnetic catch, which holds the cabinet door close to the machine, isn't very strong so we get loud rattling noises on the 1200 spin, in fact we buffer the door with a tea towel.

Answer

Yes it does. The position of hinges on the machine are fixed and therefore their placement on the wooden cabinet door will need to be at the precisely measured spaces to ensure good fit. If the IKEA doors come with pre made holes for hinges then would be good to check and compare their positioning. Or you buy with installation included to avoid any hassle there, they are pretty good and equipped to make it all work. Good luck!

Question

can the dryer filter be cleaned out without removing your plinth. I have read reviews on a previous model and this seems to be a problem.

Helen
JUNE 2016
Answer

too be honest, havent had the need to clean dryer filter out yet. looking at the machine, I think you do have to remove plinth to get to the filter as its not on the main body of the machine. hope this helps

Question

I am awaiting delivery of my machine tomorrow and was having a quick read of the instructions can you advise me on how to programme the machine to start drying after a wash as I cannot see it in the instructions Many Thanks

GRAHAM
MARCH 2016
Answer

That's a good point, I don't think you can. There is one dial to select a programme. If you've selected a wash, you can't select a drying programme at the same time. Unless anyone else can fathom something I haven't. I will have another look and repost if necessary. Hubby thinks you can do it, but when asked how he couldn't explain! I may get back to you. It is a very good machine.

Question

i am interested in purchasing this model of AEG integrated washer dryer. I am trying to find out how long a quick wash takes on this particular machine and a normal cotton cycle. thanks.

kirun
FEBRUARY 2016
Answer

You can reduce the time with time save on all wash programs. Cotton cycle 2.30 I wouldn't buy this machine again. The 90 degree wash doesn't remove all the stains and the synthetic programs leave clothes wet so you have to spin them again. Also the spin function doesn't work well on smaller loads. I've had the engineer back 3 times. There must be a better machine out there. Good luck.

Answer

I have had my machine for over 2 years and have been very pleased with it's performance. I tend to use the 40 or 30 degrees wash and these can be set for 50/55min wash or longer if required. I have had no problem with this machine and would recommend and purchase again. I was looking to buy a quiet running machine and find this fits the bill.

Question

Why do clothes and towels smell funny when I take them out of the drier?

A shopper
OCTOBER 2014
Answer

I think you need to use a washing machine cleaner. Water never completely drains away and the drying process makes the wiff stronger.

Although this is called an integrated washer/dryer, it isn't really. It fits in the space of an integrated machine but the control panel at the top is flush with the machine itself. So when the machine is 'built in', i.e. integrated, the control panel is not flush with the unit door (it's about one&half inches inset). Not integrated at all. Doesn't look finished!
