Most reviewers refer to long wash cycles. How long exactly for the most frequently used for a normal household?
Bob APRIL 2017
The eco mode which we use is very long... approximately 2hrs. 50 mins but although that sounds long, it is because it recycles the water it uses therefore saving water and reheating costs...
Hope that helps

I have a Dishwasher, in which I use tabs

We often use oval steak plates. Has anyone put these in the machine? I wonder whether the top cutlery tray might take up some internal machine height and make steak plates difficult or impossible to fit into the machine for washing.
Many thanks in advance.
Stephen JULY 2016
I think you would struggle getting steak plates into the top tray of any dishwasher. Dinner plates and steak plates go in the bottom tray. This was the the same with my old Miele dishwasher and that one had a cutlery basket taking up room in the bottom tray.

does this have a fold down plate holder in the bottom so that its easier to put saucepans and casserole dishes in flat

No the bottom is fixed but the rear has an area that takes the pans

How long is the shortest wash programme?
I really don't want a machine that takes almost 3 hours (Eco cycle) to do a cycle, so the answer to my question would be very helpful.
Belinda JUNE 2016
The shortest proper wash program (Auto + Turbo) takes just under 2 hours. Light washes for glassware etc takes 1.5 hrs.
I hope this is of some help.
