Question

I've just had my dryer a week but now clothes are still damp and not heating up, has anyone had this issue. Have emailed Technical and waiting for a response.

Answer

We have had our dryer approx 1 year, we have not had the issue you suggest. It does appear you may have a machine fault. I assume that you have followed all the user guidance regarding cleaning filter and emptying condensed water container.

Question

I'm hoping to install this dryer in an integral garage but have been put off by some advice that condenser dryers won't operate and can be seriously damaged if room temperature is too low. In winter the garage can be very cold ie on occasion below freezing. Any comments would be appreciated.

Carol

Ours is in the garage outside, and we have had no problems it’s a good machine.

Question

Can someone please let me know how long it will take for this machine to cupboard dry a Full load ( 8 kgs , ex cotton , mix etc ) . Many thanks in Advance -Kanthi

Kanthi
NOVEMBER 2017
Answer

Hi kanthi it’s difficult to say as it depends on how wet the clothes are when you put them in the dryer? For example, has the load been spun at 1000 or 1400rpm? My washing machine spins at a max of 1400 and if I dry a load of mixed washing it takes roughly 55 minutes. Having said that the machine has a sensor and will stop when the washing is dry! I love this dryer and use it to dry my towels all year round..it’s brilliant. I hope this has been of help to you.

Answer

It's brilliant ! This dryer is going 5 times a week, it also judges when the clothes are dry. A great feature is the tray that fits in the dryer so you can dry wool without spinning, would recommend to anyone.

Answer

I can second C A's answer. We don't use it unless we have to, but it's a great dryer. No problems at all since we got it over a year ago, maybe 18 months back.

yeah I would agree I've had mine 18 months and so happy with it as long as you empty tank and clean lint tray. we have it in a cupboard in hall (old cottage) and it heats the hall for us as well.

Question

How do I do a 20 minute timed drying cycle? There is a setting for this but when I try it seems to go for a delayed start

Frank
OCTOBER 2017
Answer

Pretty sure you press the program button down to time then the button just before the start button (looks like clock) should then be able to increase to whatever time you want. Refresh programme is a short one also. Sorry can't be more help never use timed drying just the preset.

Question

Hi which is the best programme for airing clothes.? I have always, before purchasing the new Zanussi, been able to air and fold clothes after 5 to 10 minutes in the tumbledryer.. The clothes are not heating up in this time. Perhaps the thermostat is faulty!

Carmel
AUGUST 2017
Answer

Hi Carmel. Actually I quickly became a bit disillusioned with this machine. It does dry clothes of course, and it is quite a bit cheaper than most others, but for all its fancy-looking buttons and programmes, I find that they don't really mean anything and I just learned how long to put it on for to dry various kinds of items. I'm not sure there is a programme which is best for airing clothes - at least I've not found it. Sorry I can't help any more.

Question

Is it possible to have a pipe for this which drains it directly into the outlet for my washer, so I don't have to keep emptying the water out?

Andrea
AUGUST 2017
Answer

I don't think so. The water tank is at waist height, a little like the detergent drawer on a washer and slides out easily to empty. Very pleased with the dryer an excellent model.

Question

I have never had a condenser dryer before. Does it steam up the room as I've read that it does? Thank you so much in advance x

Dillian
APRIL 2017
Answer

Absolute nonsense. It does not cause condensation at all. Brilliant dryer & value for money, looks nice in the kitchen too. A vented dryer is the onevtp avoid which will steam up the room. With this Zanussie condenser you can't go wrong.

Answer

We agree with Julia. There is a brief sequence of beeping at the end of the cycle, which soon stops. I guess it might wake you but doesn't insist on you getting up to quieten it.

Question

When the programme ends does it rotate each way for several minutes. I got this dryer today & noticed the drum only rotates anti clockwise for a short time but much longer when rotating clockwise. Just watching to know if this is a characteristic of this machine or of there's a fault? Many thanks for your help.

Dee
DECEMBER 2016
Answer

My machine, at the end of a "Synthetics" drying programme ( when the display reaches zero ), rotates alternate directions after the same interval time, for approximately 3secs. The duration of rotation clockwise and anticlockwise is the same +/- 0.5secs. Please note it may differ on other programmes.

Question

Hi, can anyone advise me if this dryer works ok if kept in a shed. I don't have room inside for one. I have noticed on some reviews of other dryers that they don't work if temperature is too low. As I'm in the north of Scotland it can be quite chilly in my shed over winter! Thanks in advance. Fiona

Fiona

Answer

Our tumble dryer is kept in our garage which gets cold but we haven't yet used this one in the winter. It's worked brilliantly so far though :)

Answer

This is a brilliant dryer. We have ours in the house but we live in an old cottage with no central heating so it gets very cold, it's always worked a treat :-) I wouldn't be concerned about the cold, as long as the shed isn't damp then I don't see there being a problem.

Don't really know yet.
Unbelievably difficult to understand how this works. The instructions could not be more complicated if they tried.
